The object of the Buddhist Society is to publish and make known the principles of Buddhism and to encourage the practice of these principles.

Shanti Sadan means ‘Temple of Inner Peace’. The temple was founded by an Indian yogi called Hari Prasad ShastriHolds in 1929 and follows a tradition form of yoga, Adhyatma Yoga.
